Quirine van Engen, PhD
Quirine is a postdoc in the Department of Neuroscience at BCM. While her prior research focused on the function of (non-) oscillatory EEG dynamics in working memory, she now investigates single-unit activity during complex cognitive behaviors, including decision-making and game strategies. In her free time, she enjoys practicing aerial circus arts, reading, baking, and drinking absurd amounts of tea.

Rachel Utama
Rachel is a PhD student in the Quantitative and Computational Biosciences program at BCM. Her current research integrates experimental and computational approaches to understand the computations underlying healthy cognition, with the goal of informing therapies for neurological and neuropsychiatric conditions. In her free time, Rachel enjoys traveling, creative writing, getting outdoors, and perfecting her Ninja Creami creations. [+]
